Show k OLYMPICS Valory Reed Fills New Job at ChamberBureau Valory Reed, marketing manager for the Chamber Bureau the past six years, assumed the new role of Olympic Projects Manager for the organization effective July I. This new position will focus Yalory's energies for the next two ears on managing the Chamber- Bureau's activities as they relate to the 2002 Winter Games. The position was created to implement imple-ment and fulfill the organization's Olympic Sales and Marketing plan, funded through the Summit County Restaurant Tax Fund. Bill Malone. the Chamber Bureau's executive director, direc-tor, will continue to serve as a member of the board of trustees of the Salt lake Organizing Committee and as a trustee of the Visitor Information Services Coalition created for the Games. Yalorv will assume the management functions coordinating the efforts of the Park City Media Center, visitor services, the Chamber Bureau's effort in celebratory activities as well as its hospitality functions, working closely with Shawn Stinson (Communications). Lynn Goss (Visitor Services) and Barb Clark (Special Events). The reason for creating this position is the increasing involvement involve-ment of the Chamber Bureau as we approach the 500-day mark before the Games. Also, implementing our Olympic Marketing Plan is critical to the success of capitalizing capitaliz-ing on this once-in-a-ltfetime opportunity for the Chamber Bureau and the community commu-nity as a whole, with this two-year position specifically targeting that goal.
