Rasrnusson Hill, shown in this 1933 photo, prsdatad Traasura Mountain Resort, Park City Wast, Dear Valley Resort and even Snow Park. It was located on the east side of Ecker HSI where Pinebrook is located today. This down-slope view of the small resort shows the long line of skiers (right center) waiting for a ride on the rope tow. The skiers In the foreground have made their way to a higher location and longer ride down the mountain. Notice the ski wear, typical of the time. The large ski )ump scaffold is vis&k in the upper left of the photo. Beyond tha ski Jump, Highway 40 (later Interstate SO) can be seen with Its long row of parked cars. Just beyond the sU Jump, the snow-covered buildings of the Well Come Inn are visible. That waa where ilarie Rasmusaen and her daughter Setma prepared and aoW food and drinks for hungry skiers. Selma's brothers I Jury, Jim and Prank operated the rope tow and ski Jump. James Kiiby, who had moved to Park City with his family In 1939, worked In the mines to finance his college education. World War II took him away from Selma, but not before they married in December 1941. When the war ended in 1945, 102y returned and bought .the WeN Come Inn, service statics and farm from rftiJa Chairtfft, but two tow snow years brought the ctooure of that operation. Lucy and Clay Archer Lucy Brown Murphy and Clay Harmon Archer of Park City were married on Feb. 14. 2000 in a private ceremony in Park City. The couple met in 1994 while organizing the technology at the Summit County Library. Their children, Michael Amanda. Erin Gabnelle and Aimee served as witnesses. Lucy has lived in Park City since 19S2 and has actively seroed on dozens of committees and organizations in our community. She has worked as a broker for Silver Mountain Realty and as the head librarian for the Summit County Library. She works at all six of the schools and libraries in the Park City School District and assisted with the beginning of Carden Academy at the Landmark Inn. She has degrees from Northwestern University and the University of Utah, and is completing a masters degree from Utah State University in educational technology and library science. Clay moved to Park City in 19) to help start up CCN Computers. He has his own consulting company. Archer Computer Services, and works with Netorkwise as a consultant and senior technician. - The couple plan to stay in the Park City area and to continue to enjoy being best friends.
