Show Souvenir Edition Page 3 Transportation and parking Visitors to the 1981 Park City Arts Festival will find that traffic control, parking and transportation are well planned plan-ned for the convenience of all. In an effort to streamline traffic flow and accommodate accom-modate our many visitors, the following system has been developed for Saturday, Aug. 1 and Sunday, Aug. 2. Visitors and guests are urged to use U.S. Highway 40 and State Highway 248 to Park City for faster access. Car pools are advisable ad-visable since parking is limited. Once more, a shuttle and park system will be used. Buses will operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday to transport you from the parking areas. Adult fare is fifty cents, with children over four twenty-five cents. There will be supervised parking at the Park City Ski Resort and Prospector Square (see shaded areas in map below). Bus stops for the shuttles will be located at the following sites: City Park, Silver Town condominiums (16th Street), lower Resort lot, Alpha BetaHoliday Inn, Prospector Square, Racquet Club, Adolph's Restaurant on the golf course, the Park Meadows entrances off Highways 224 and 248 and the site of the old Coalition Building on Park Avenue, just north of the Kimball Art Center. Parking in Swede Alley will be limited to Main Street employees with parking permits, per-mits, the press, alley residents, and exhibitors and performers with permits. Streets to be closed during the specified times on Saturday and Sunday are Park Avenue from 15th Street to Heber Avenue; Swede Alley entrances to Main Street; Main Street; Heber Avenue between Swede Alley and Park Avenue; and Four th, Fifth and Sixth Streets from Park Avenue to Main Street. Access for local traffic with Arts Festival parking stickers will be as follows: from Highway 224 to Empire Avenue, to Crescent Road (extended 8th Street), to Woodside and King Road, then through the turnaround to Hillside and Marsac. This is the route for local traffic only. Park Avenue south of Empire to Heber Avenue and Main Street are closed to all traffic from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. First aid and rest rooms The first aid station manned by the Park City Fire Department and Holy Cross Hospital will be located in the alley next to the Post Office on Main Street. Emergency Medical Technicians will be on hand at the Timberhaus shop at the bottom of Main Street. Comfort stations (rest rooms) will be placed on two Park City sites during ihe Arts Festival. They will be at the site of the old Coalition Building, north of the Kimball Kim-ball Art Center on Park Avenue; and in Swede Alley at the foot of the Marsac School steps.
