Regards, The Commerce Kid City clean up campaign coming Editor: There is no doubt about it, without the cover of snow the Historic District is beginning to look dirty and unkempt. The city would like to help you do something about it, and for our part, we are going to begin with a major cleanup campaign the week of April 15th. I will have bus drivers from Mountain b Ji'i.ii .". n : , ; r; . ... .,. Metro who, because of lack of snow are not operating at full schedule, sweeping all of the sidewalks and cleaning out the icy spots wherever feasible. I will also have the street crews do a thorough job of sweeping and then flushing clean Main Street. You have to understand that where there is ice along the curb, it is going to be awfully hard for us to get at the frozen-in dirt and refuse. We will also be doing a major clean-up in Swede Alley, beginning Wednesday, April 15th. If you will go to the trouble of cleaning out your lot areas and putting your debris in the alley, I will have a crew by to pick up and haul it away. As you know, throughout the alley there are large items like mattresses and old refrigerators. I can't allow the crews to come on your property, but if you will make the effort to collect items into one area, they will remove it. Hereafter, I would like to ask your cooperation in keeping your own sidewalk side-walk swept and clear of debris. Even when the street crews clean the street, if the sidewalks are not kept clean, you will continue to have an unsightly downtown area. In the meantime, we will all be looking for snow and should we be fortunate to have the snow actually arrive, the clean-up campaign will have to be put off. Thank you for your cooperation in helping Park City be a place in which we are all proud to live.
