Wednesday night. : ' Park Meadows No. 'l will consist of 87 lots on approximately ap-proximately 30 acres of land located in the west end of the Holiday Ranch. Developers Salt Lake City father and son contractors Enoch and Dick Smith will have the moneymen behind the project which will be marketed by realtor Vic Ayers. The 30-acre site is part of a 150-acre parcel which has been purchased from the Union America Corp. If phase one proves successful, phases two and three are in the offing. of-fing. Ayers noted that the master plan for the 150 acres calls for a density less than the maximum permitted by the proposed revised zoning ordinance. ; ' Jack Johnson, whose firm is performing the engineering functions for Park Meadows, told the commission that lot ' sizes in the subdivision would average 12,500 square feet and would range between a minimum of 10,500 square feet and a maximum of 18,000 square feet. Price for the lots, Johnson , said, would average between $10,000 and $11,000, enabling local residents to invest and attracting Salt, Lake City residents, thus, increasing the city's tax base. The engineer told the . commission the development has been designed to make extensive use of cul-de-sacs, with six-inch diameter trees to be planted in center of the . courts. Tennis Anyone? Youth Ski Fatality Chris Cromwell, an 11-year-old Marsac student, was killed in a skiing accident at the Park City Resort Tuesday night, Feb. 17, and was buried at the family cemetery in Palm Springs, Calif., Monday. Mon-day. The youth, who was in the 5th grade at Park City's Marsac Elementary School, was with four friends when the accident occurred. Kenyon Kennard, one of the four boys skiing with Cromwell said, "We were on the flat part of "Payday" just between "Widow Maker" and "Nail Driver" when Chris turned to talk to his friend Orvil Palmer. Before he had a chance to turn around he had run into a telephone pole.". - .,..:: Palmer, the first to reach Cromwell, reported, "By the time I got to Chris he was unconscious and gasping for breath." Kennard, who immediately went for help, said, "I didn't know how to work the emergency phone so I skied to the bottom to tell the Ski Patrol." Efforts by the Ski Patrol to revive the victim were unsuccessful. un-successful. The cause of death was reported to be massive brain hemorrhaging. Cromwell's father, grief -stricken Chris Cromwell Sr., told the Newspaper, "I feel the resort management was negligent for not being more careful concerning people's lives and limbs." . He added, "Some kind of cushion or padding on the poles in the areas where people are skiing, particularly par-ticularly at night, can make the difference between life and death." Resort officials declined to comment on the accident when contacted by the Newspaper. Mr. Cromwell described his son as "full of energy and at times a little reckless like all kids."
