The officers , of the association electedTtor serve for - the following year are as follows: President Die Hayes, Vlw-president ; Roy Smith, Secretary and Treasurer 'Howard Thorne, Board of -Directors; . George Gourley, Abel Nielson, Irvlrig John son, Charles B. Harper and LeRoy Thorne. - The officers and members of the association are very much interested in nreservinff the fish and came of our vicinity and are going to work to thifl end during, the coming year. During the year 1929, under the leadership of Mr. Hayes, the Pleasant Grove organization was successful in securing from the State Department 40,000 fish which were planted In the streams below town. Most of thess fish .will be large enough to be taken during the coming year and should provide a great deal of sport for the iportsmen during the -1930 open sea son. The organisation also sponsored drive on the hawks which, were found preying upon the game birdB. Telephone Company Expending $21,000 Here - The Mountain States Telephone & Telegraph Co. has Just finished one project and Is now working on second which constitutes rebuilding the outside plant of the telephone system jof Pleasant Grove. These projects, when completed, will repre tent a total expenditure of $21,000.00. r In rebuilding interior block work is being done. This consists of removing re-moving old poles from the streets and the pole lines will run thru the center of the blocks, making one line for every other street In this way practically every thing will be re moved! from the street except cable and. all. wires will enter homes from the rear.. ..-': -,.'.:.: -I v. It was decided by the Council that the offices of Water Supt and Build ing Inspector be combined, that the superintendent be required to remain on active duty each working day from 8 a. m. to 5 p. m. and subject to any emergency call at all times.
