Preston is currently the 2nd leading scorer scor-er in the state and leads the state in 3-point shots made. Brennen Foster, Sr. Forward and son of Dave and Shelley Foster, was selected as the Varsity Defensive De-fensive Player of the Week for his outstanding performance in the games against Emery, Pleasant Grove and Timpanogas. Nathan Smith, sophomore, son of Rachael and Derek Smith, is a new member of the Springville High School Swim Team. His favorite fa-vorite stroke is the breaststroke and he improves weekly. Nathan said, "I choose swimming for my sport because it is fun and it helps me stay in good shape. I am get-ing get-ing better at the breaststroke each day." He likes to read and is working on receiving his Eagle Scout award this year. Tim Call, sophomore, son of Vaughn and Kathryn Call, has been swimming for two years with the Springville High School Swim Team. His favorite strokes are the freestyle and the backstroke. back-stroke. Tim said, "I chose swimming swim-ming because it is one of the hardest sports to do. It is very physically and mentall challenging challeng-ing sport that I have done. It has taught me to keep my endurance up and to go hard to the end."
