I have missed the patrons, my fellow employees and the great atmosphere at the library. I have missed knowing what is going on in our fair city. It will be good to get back and get going again. Thanks to all who have made my recuperation more pleasant than it might have been without your kindness. September is National Library Card Sign-up Month. The library will hold a promotion for elementary elemen-tary age school children to register regis-ter for a card of their own if they don't already have one. Come in and see us. Are you interested in taking a practice test for a particular career field? The library is equipped with Learnatest.com and is available for our patrons to sharpen their skills in a certain field and practice the test that you would need to take to get into them. There are lots of fields available. Come in and talk to John about them. We have great patrons who come to our library. People who are courteous and respectful of the books and other things they take home to enjoy. Once in awhile, however, some of you forget. This is costly for the library As the last summer holiday weekend approaches, Uinta National Na-tional Forest officials offer the following tips for Labor Day recreationists: Pack-inPack-out: Visitors recreating in the Uinta National Forest are encouraged to remove all litter before vacating their site. Gas and propane stoves are permitted. Fireworks are prohibited prohib-ited at all times on National Forest System lands. The Stage 1 Fire Restriction also prohibits smoking, except within an enclosed vehicle or building, a developed recreation site or while stopped in an area at least three feet in diameter that has been cleared of flammable material. Expanded restrictions are necessary due to continued drought conditions and high fire danger. Forest visitors are urged to use extreme caution when operating ATVs, motorcycles and other motorized equipment. and for you, so we encourage everyone to treat all library things with kindness.
