They were accompanied in part bv the High School Stage Band. ' Numbers that were performed at that time were, "Who Am I", (their 'theme song) "Man Must Be Free," "Sing A Rainbow," "Sunshine In My Soul," "Last Happy Song" and "Day Glo Day." Students that participated and received first place honors were: Bret Anderson, Morgan Anderson, Gayle Barker, Stuart Clark, Richard Cutler, Valynn Day. People from Springville, Spanish Fork and Payson are given a special invitation in-vitation to come and join in the fun. Those from eighth grade to adult are welcome to come. The Razz ma tazz of good old, bad old, good old days are presented in "Stereopicon", a production sketch of yesteryear, one of the highlights of the 35th Anniversary edition of Ice Capades opening Tuesday, April 15 at the Salt Palace Arena through Sunday, April 20, 1975. Lavish costumes. Lovable characters. Lyrical skating. Together they're Ice Capades, 1975. Little David Lucas finds a dream come . true when his Watch Cat toy transports him to a special land where "IT'S CHRISTMAS EVERY DAY." Giant lollipops and alphabet blocks dot the landscape,, while toy soldiers, marionettes, Swiss dolls, and four delightful Christmas seals entertain their young visitor. A "STEREOPTICON" gives the audience a look at a '30's style nightclub. Newcomer Roberta Loughland is the gal . with the turned-up nose, while the dynamic Billy Chapel reminds us that life is, indeed, a cabaret. Thirty-two beautiful girls add a special "TOUCH OF CLASSE" in the most glamorous costumes ever and perform their perfect precision routine. It's the 35th anniversary edition of Ice Capades, opening April 15 at the Salt Palace Arena through Sunday, April 20, 1975. This new edition opens with a salute to the birth of a new era in . Susan Cram has understudy role Susan Cram, talented young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Koyle Cram, is the only person from Spriijgville. to win a part in the musical production, "Saturday's Warrior," now playing to full house audiences in Spanish Fork. Susan was one of more than :S00 who tried out for the production. She plays the understudy un-derstudy role of Shelly, a nine-, year-old girl in the Flinders family. There were three nights of extensive tryouts before the cast was chosen. Although Susan is 13 years old and an eighth grade student, she is small in stature, thus lending to her ability to land the role. She usually is on stage during the Thursday evening performance and the Saturday matinees. Although this is Susan's first experience in drama, being on. stage is not new to her.
