The gym will be decorated with streamers and other decorations of the season. V VVe know thL3 dance . will draw a large crowd, and everyone at tending is expected to have a good time Marjorie Williams. Much enthusiasm was shown by the B.Y. U. college students who visited the Dixon November 8th. Mr. Mower, the principal of the Dixon led them through the school and answered many questions that u-ere asked. These students from the B.Y.U. said they were very pleased to find Provo has such a fine school as the Dixon Junior high. Elayne Christensen. The girls double trio from th Dixon sang' two songs over the radio- on Tuesday, "I Love a Little Cottage 'and "Lassie-o-Mine." The double trio consists ' of Aretta Newren, Betty Jepperson, Marjorie Williams, Coralie Coleman, Cole-man, Betty Dean, and Dorothy Smith. They were accompanied by Jean Dastrup. Veone Menlove. The ninth grade gym classes are having a foul-pitching tournament tourna-ment this week. There are six squads in each of the two classes competing. Each man on the squad takes 25 throws at the basket. Each basket counts one point. The squad making the most points wins- ... . .- . ... In the first period class, Grand Yee's squad won. In ' the second period Doyle Burningham's squad won. S. mission field, upon his arrival m New York from England, Eng-land, Sept. 18. The young man, a son-of-Mr. and Mrs. W. Monroe Paxman, had been engaged in missionary work in England for three months when war broke - out, and he, with all other missionaries 1 m Europe, was returned to , the United States.
