Canyon Party Is Planned By VFW Three new members were initiated in-itiated at a meetinte of the VFW auxiliary, held Friday evening at uie veterans' service Center. Those Initiated were Mrs. Lula B. Lees, Mrs. Laura Davis and Mrs. Romania Gordon, and Mrs. Roy Tyler, president, was . in charge. The women turned in 30 flairs of hospital shoes for the Red Cross made since the last meet ing. Provo Couple To Marry Soon Wedding plans are being made for late August in the Salt Lake temple by Miss Maurine Meservy and Jeston Jacobson, young Provo Pro-vo couple. The bride-elect is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward S. Meservy, of 810 West First North street, and Mr. Jacobson is a son of Mr. and Mrs. William M. Jacobson, Ja-cobson, of West drive. A graduate of Provo high school. Miss Meservy is a former beautician. She is now serving as a missionary in the Utah stake mission, and is active as a Nurses Aide, being secretary of one of the local units. Mr. Jacobson is a former student stu-dent of Provo high, and served a mission in the East Central States field. Also, he served with the 207th ordnance company in New Guinea, and is now engaged in farming.
