Over the next week, the museum, which has been transformed into the festival hub for Microsoft Bing, will be frequented by some of the biggest names in the film and entertainment industries. According to Sandra Morrison, executive director of the museum, the people at Bing were excited to host their Sundance activities in a facility that embodies the town's colorful past, "They loved how the museum looked with all the history of Park City," she said. In its previous location, the museum experimented with renting its space to Sundance for the merchandise store, but the staff had to clear out all of the artifacts and exhibits first. This time, the displays are part of the backdrop for press conferences, parlies and special events. Renting the space will also provide a solid financial boost for the museum, which Morrison says is a good thing, "especially in this economy." The museum will be closed to the public Jan. 20-30. Bing will bring in its team and equipment to host a full schedule of activities from Jan. 2226.
