"There's no malicious intent here," Sheriff's Office Capt. Joe Offret said. "He was going to use it to nuke the pot-guts." The suspect was working in a snowmobile repair shop in Brown's Canyon when the explosive was located, a Sheriff's Office press release states. A bomb squad from Salt Lake City determined the homemade device was safe and deputies arrested the man when he returned to the shop. Offret said. ''They're going to charge him," he said, adding that the man told officers he built the bomb about a year ago to kill squirrels. Last week, the Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue team responded to a snowmobile accident in Weber Canyon near Thousand Peaks Ranch. "The young lady did have two broken legs and was transported by the ambulance,1' Offret said about the 18-year-old victim.
