Show Best landscapes receive awards from city B OUNTIFUL The annual landscaping land-scaping awards have been handed out by Bountiful City officials to five businesses and five families, according to Mayor Bob Linnell. The awards are to help recognize those who help Bountiful live up to its motto, "City of Bountiful Homes and Gardens," city officials say. The awards are based on the best use of trees, shrubs and other landscaping techniques to create a pleasing relationship" and are judged by city planner John Keed Boothe. The judging criteria also includes how well the grounds are maintained. Winners in the commercial landscaping land-scaping category are: Carrington Place, 830 N. 500 West, Melanie Smith, manager; Rainbo Oil, 515 S. 500 West, Frank Sida, owner; Park View Office Building, 380 N. 200 West, Steven Clapham, co-owner; Albertson's Food Center, 155 W. 500 South, Fred Larson, manager, and Lee's Cafe, 490 S. 500 West, Brent Epperson, owner. Residential landscaping award winners are: Mr. and Mrs. LaVance Nelson, 1608 S. 400 East; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Page, 403 E. Center, Mr. and Mrs. EX. Hadley, 387 N. 1300 East; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Griffiths, Grif-fiths, 970 E. Millstream Way; and Mr. and Mrs. Reese Anderson, 548 E. 1400 South. j |
