Show Open house for McKay .y :. 'V,r - . . L L i :- L , 1 r , An open house for Carol McKay, former sixth grade teacher, will be held Sunday, Sept. 30, from 5-8:30 p.m at the McKay home, 408 W. 2700 S., Bountiful (just east of Colonial Square). Parking is available at the LDS chapel on 2600 S. as well as at Colonial Square. Former students and their parents and families, as well as friends and teaching associates, are invited to enjoy an evening of renewing friendships. Carol was head of the acting department of the BYU youth program, pro-gram, ran her own school of creative dramatics, taught drama for Granite District Community Schools, as well as for YWCA summer programs. She also wrote and directed numerous dramatic productions, which included music and dance. She taught sixth grade in Salt Lake and Davis School Districts. In addition, she was an instructor for the Deseret News, presenter for the UCCE Computers in Education Conference, as well as Davis District inservice instructor. She was accepted in the Utah Writers Project. Carol designed in- CAROL MCKAY dividualized social studies units to develop creati ve and intellectual abilities in students and developed math curriculum for the district. She taught math on the television Mathline program. In 1988 Carol was selected to be honored in ' Who ' s Who in American Education." |
