Tolman receives Eagle An Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held Aug. 12, for Matthew Warde Tolman, who is a member of Troop 776 (Indian Springs District 3), sponsored by ? the Bountiful; 42nd Ward. Matt will enter ninth grade at Mueller Park ; Junior High this fall He currently plays the trombone trom-bone in the school's band; program and' ' 4s ' ' ' - rff -' " ,. Ari-' also continues with piano lessons. He has become an avid water skier but enjoys the winter season when he can hit the ski slopes. Matt is the son of Jay and Valerie Tolman. Highlights of Mart's life and trail to the Eagle were spotlighted through a slide presentation. Steve ChuHgren, from Tracy Aviary, brought a live Eagle and explained the symbolism of this majestic bird and why the Boy Scouts of America chose it to represent the highest rank in the scouting program. For his Eagle Scout project, Matt organized boy scouts in his troop to help him make 90 slate chalkboards for Reading Elementary School These chalkboards will help teachers reinforce math, reading and spelling concepts to the students. Matt would like to thank the scout leaders for their guidance and would especially like to thank his father for many hours of support and encouragement to achieve this goal.
