Show BSU charity stomp readied for Saturday The Black Student Union (BSU) is sponsoring a stomp Saturday to raise money for the Minority Scholarship Fund. Rocking Willie, Chicago disc jockey, will emcee the stomp, which Bill Sullivan, stomp committee com-mittee members, explained will go to establish scholarships for the minority. "We should be able to send 20 kids to school for a year" with the profits from this and other activities ac-tivities the BSU has planned, he said. The stomp will be a little different dif-ferent than the ones in the past, he indicated. "People aren't used to the kind we're going to have," Sullivan said. "This is going to be a stomp Chicago style." Harrison Whitney, black student counselor, is chairman of BSU stomp committee, and Bill Bey and Tallie Cavaness are other members. The stomp will begin at 8 p.m. and admission is 75 cents. |
