Show Group to Give The Rocky Mountain Modern Language Association (RMMIA) will hold its 20th annual meeting, meet-ing, October 14 to 15 at the University. Uni-versity. Over 200 members will be present. Dr. Clarice Short, University professor of English and president presi-dent of the Association, said members will "present scholarly scholar-ly research papers and critical writing in the humanities," in 14 section meetings in the Union Building. Papers Presented Papers will be presented on aspects of comparative literature, litera-ture, western American folklore, folk-lore, the teaching of English, linguistics, and dramatic literature. litera-ture. Dr. Short said, "We are also pleased that the officers and executive ex-ecutive council of the Modern Language Association of America, Ameri-ca, decided to hold its biannual session in Salt Lake City on October Oc-tober 13 to 14. The council will join RMMIA members for some sessions. Association Representative The Association includes representatives rep-resentatives from the English, modern foreign language, and classical language departments of colleges and universities from northern Montana to southwestern southwest-ern Texas. Registration will take place from 8:00 to 9:30 in the Lobby, University Union, with the opening open-ing session beginning at 9:30 in the East Ballroom. 3 |
