Show Sooleiy Olubs , ' SEGO LILY Division 500 of the G I A to B of L E held its regular business meeting and Christmas party Dec. 20th at the home of Mrs. Garnetta Hol-lis, Hol-lis, with Mrs. Phyllis Erickson and Mrs. Laura Bradtield as co-hostesses. co-hostesses. A short business meeting was conducted by Mrs. Kate McDonald, president. A lovely two-course luncheon was served by the hostesses. The rest of the evening was enjoyed en-joyed playing bridge and exchanging ex-changing Christmas gifts. Prizes were won by Mrs. Florence Barnes, Mrs. Mary White, Mrs. McDonald, and Mrs. Ethel Smith. Other members present were Mesdms. Wanda Holm, Betty Hardy, Marvel : Connell, Garnet Garfield, Catherine Cath-erine Shinleton, Eva Banks, Virginia Fowles and Margaret Lund. The members of Utahna Lodge No. 358, Ladies Society to the B of L F & E, spent a pleasant evening Dec. 21st at their annual Christmas party given in the IOOF hall. A delicious supper was served and the members exchanged gifts. The rest of the evening was spent playing bridge and pinochle, with prizes being won by Mrs. Ethel Smith and Mrs. Serelda Fernly, at bridge, and Mrs. Aiton Nielson and Mrs. Helen Bolton at pinochle. Mrs-Jerry Mrs-Jerry Memmott drew the house for the evening - were Mrs. Phyllis Erickson, Mrs. Margaret Lund, Mrs. Maui--ine Miller and Mrs. Pat Johnson. John-son. Other members present were Mrs. Kate McDonald, Mrs. Christie Lyman, Mrs. Mary White, Mrs. Lucile Raines, Mrs. Freda Smith, Mrs- Virginia Fowles, Mrs. Alma Sly, Mrs-Lillian Mrs-Lillian Fotheringham, Mrs. Virginia Vir-ginia Grimes, Mrs. Winnie Johnson, and Mrs. Merlin Mer-,ry Mer-,ry weather. MR- AND MRS. FRED O'LEARY announce the engagement en-gagement and aproaching marriage mar-riage of their daughter, Vanda, to Mr. Merrill Gene Eversole, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph M. Eversole of Belleville, 111. February 2nd has been selected select-ed as the date for the wedding. ST. BRIDGET'S Recreation hall was the scene of a very-festive very-festive party, Dec. 22nd. The Rosarians sponsored and planned plan-ned the party, with all members of St. Bridget's Parish invited. A nice pot luck lunch was served at 1 p. m. Each child was given candy and a small toy- Father Valine was then surprised with a large birthday cake adorned with 59 candles- The Rev. Father was presented present-ed with a Spiritual Bouquet from Sister Edwards, Sister Agnes Clara, and all the children chil-dren of the parish, and also was presented with useful gifts checks and cards, from members mem-bers of the parish. The two Sisters, who travel from Salt Lake each week to give religious instruction to Catholic children in Milford, Cedar City and Richfield, were also honored and presented with useful gifts from the children chil-dren and other members of the parish. Mrs. A. A. Brinkman, president presi-dent of the Rosarians, presented the gifts to Father Valine and the visiting Sisters, and Father Valine also received a nice gift from the Catholic Youth Organization. Organ-ization. Serving on committees were: Gifts and tables, Mrs. Brink-man, Brink-man, .Mrs. Don Wisner, and members of the CYO; program, Mrs. Gilbert McGinn; assisting in serving, Mrs. Elmo Smith, Mrs- Garth Banks and Mrs. Lelias of Beaver. More than 50 parishioners at: tended. THE HOWARD LUND home was the scene cf much happy activity over the Christmas holidays. Family members present pres-ent were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Johnson and two children of Clearfield; Mr. and Mrs. Kay Banks and two children of Kim-berly, Kim-berly, Nev.; Mrs. Lund's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Grace Sanders of Salt Lake; Mr. Lund's niece, Mrs. Geraldine Veatcli, and daughter Sharron, also of Salt Lake- QBE" Milford college students home for the holidays include: From the U of U Harlan Anderson, Vaughn McDonald, LeRoy Griffiths and Ruth CLine.
