Show Rifle Shots Black Out Milford Power Two power line breaks in different parts of Southern Utah, occurring within a few minutes, caused Milford and Minersville to be "blacked out" for two hours last Monday morning, and most of the late -isers were without coffee or breakfast until 10:30. Both the power line and telephone tele-phone line were down between the two Telluride Power plants in Beaver Canyon, and a few minutes after the first break, the Fish Creek line went out near Clear Creek Canyon, according ac-cording to Kent Smith, local Telluride manager. With the two lines out, it was impossible to feed Utah P & L power into the Telluride system, sys-tem, and after some delay the emergency power was obtained irom Southern Utah Power Co., through their line connecting with Telluride below the Lower Station. Both breaks were attributed to deer hunters. |
