Show SPUD TRUCK WRECKS AFTER COLLISION WITH TRACTOR A 17,000 lb load of Milford Valley seed potatoes ' 'didn't get to market" Thursday when the specially equipped dump truck transporting them to the sorting shed struck a tractor and overtuned a half-mile south of town, spilling the potatoes into the ditch, damaging the truck, and injuring the driver. Johnny Cleo Freeman, hauling haul-ing potatoes for Gene Campbell, Camp-bell, attempted to pass two tractors hauling hay, driven by George and Billy Goodwin, just as ths lead tractor began a left turn into a lane, and the resulting crash overturned the truck, spilling the spuds, and sent the driver to the Beaver County Clinic where he was treated by Dr.. Walker for minor injuries. The accident was investigated investigat-ed by Wallace Fotheringham, Milford city marshal, and referred re-ferred by him to State Highway Partolman Gordon Farnswoth. |
