Show MRS. PATRICIA WILLIAMS, Society Editor Phone 150 or 28 THE AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY held their first meeting of the fall season on Monday, Sept. 19, in St. Bridget's Brid-get's recreation hall. Preceding the meeting the officers served curried chicken on rice, salad, rolls and coffee to the following members. Ida Mae Smith, Dorothy Grim-thaw, Grim-thaw, Betty Davis, Mary Long, Jerrie Kirk, Retha Campeau, Erlene Jefferson, Bobbie Sue Morris, Ethel Smith, Jean Han-Icy, Han-Icy, Naomi Hughes, Lunete Kirk, Carlie Waddoups, Magda-y Magda-y lena White, Pat Williams, and Bonnie Easton. Patricia Gronning and Karen Kar-en Walker then gave very interesting in-teresting reports on their attendance at-tendance at Girls State. Mrs. Lola Wright and daughter daugh-ter Norma have moved to Salt Lake City. THE TWENTIETH wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Thurland D. Sly was celebrated celebrat-ed on Sept. 19th, with a party given at the Sly home. Friends who attended included Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Memmott, Mr. and Mrs. Don Holbrook, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Aagard, Mr. and Mis. William Ashworth, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Moore, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Lund. Pinochle was the evening's entertainment, with Mr. Memmott Mem-mott and Mr. Moore receiving the prizes for the men; Mrs. Holbrook and Mrs. Aagard were the priz- winners for the ladies.. Mrs. Ashworth received re-ceived the traveling prize. At midnight Mrs. Slv sf-ved a delicious hot lunch j Mr. and Mrs. LuDan Barnes I have moved into the home for-i for-i merly occupied by Mrs. Wright. THE SEGO LILY Division 500 held their first fall meeting meet-ing at the home of Mrs. Garnet Hollis, last Thursday evening, with Mrs. Margaret Lund assisting as-sisting with the entertainment. President Lois Moore conducted con-ducted the business meeting. Afterward bridge was played with Mrs. Eva Banks, Mrs. Ethel Smith and Mrs. Moore receiving the prizes. Other members present included Mrs. Wanda Holm, Mrs. Kate McDonald, Mc-Donald, Mrs. Kate Shingleton, Mrs. Magdakna Whiter Mrs. Betty Hardy, Mrs. Marva Con-nell, Con-nell, Mrs. Florence Barnes, and Mrs. Virginia Fowles. Mrs. Ivy Dalton of Circle-ville Circle-ville spent a few days with her son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Walker. Mrs. Dalton is now in Salt Lake visiting vis-iting a son. THE PAST PRESIDENTS PARLEY of the American Legion Le-gion Auxiliary business meeting meet-ing was held at the home of Mrs. Ethel Smith on the evening eve-ning of Sept. 14th. Hostesses included Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Eva Stonehocker. Eight members were present. pres-ent. At bridge, prizes were won by Mrs. Metta Weston, Mrs. Letha Smyth, and Mrs. Ethel Nielsen. THE SILVER DESERT Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers Pio-neers elected new 1955-56 officers of-ficers Friday, Sept. 16th, when they met at the home of Mrs. Lettie Fotheringham. Named to office w.re: Mrs. Helen Gillins, president; presi-dent; Mrs. Erraa Cline, first vice president; Mrs. Wanda Holm, second vice president; Mrs. VUate Lang, secretary-treasuivr; secretary-treasuivr; Mrs. LaRue Banks, historian; Mrs. Mary Johnson, registrar; Mrs. Minnie Galloway, corresponding cor-responding secretary; Mrs. La-Verne La-Verne Bunker, chaplain; Mrs. Cassie McKnight, chorister. After the business meeting, the hostess Mrs. Fotheringham, and Mrs. Wanda Holm served a tasty dessert course. SEVERAL of the ladies of I the Methodist Church went to the Iron County Rest Home at Parowan Sunday afternoon to visit Mrs. W. F. Cottrell. Her many friends in Milford will be pleased to know that although she has been not too well lately, she is "better," and says she is getting excellent care in the Home. Those who made the trip were Vena Wilson, Ellen Haw-ley, Haw-ley, Sofia Johnson, Selma Carlson, Carl-son, Susan Glenn, Bertha Moore, Lulu Clay, Gladys Bush, Gladys Shingleton, Lucy Hendrickson, and Mrs. Lillian.
