Show JACK TRAVERS DIES IN COLORADO Jack B. Travers, Craig, Colo., prominent intermountain livestock live-stock man, died last Thursday in Craig. Mr. Travers was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 15, Elko, Nev. He was a former U of U athlete, and a member of Beta Theta Phi fraternity. He also attended the University of Montana. He was born in Payson, a son of Jack B. and Minnie Raht Travers. Orphaned in infancy, he was raised by an aunt and uncle, the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter James of Black Rock. For a number of years Mx. Travers managed the livestock interests of his uncle. Later he moved with his family to Ely, Nev., and was in charge of the Adams McGill Livestock Co. He also Tnanaged the large livestock live-stock interests of the Utah Construction Con-struction Livestock Co., at Mon-tello, Mon-tello, Nev. About 12 years ago he moved to Craig, Colo,, and managed the Ralph Pitchforth Livestock Co. He has been retired for several years. On Dec. 29, 1939, he married Inez Bertoldi, in Reno, Nev. Surviving are his widow, of Craig, Colo.; two sons, Jack B. Travers of Fort Walton, Fla., and Jim Travers of Beverly Hills, Calif.; the cousins, his mother in law, Mrs. Mary Bertoldi. Ber-toldi. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Monday afternoon in the Aultorest Mortuary, under direction of George Washington Lodge 24, F. & A. M., Ogden. Among those from out of town who attended the services were Jim Travers of Beverly Hills, William McMillen of Denver, Den-ver, Mr. and Mrs. Hampton Burke and Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Miller of Black Rock, Bert James of Milford, Walter Miller Mil-ler of Elko, Nev., and several relatives of Mrs. Travers fiom Montello, Nev. |
