OCR Text	Show SOPHOMORE GIRL CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY By Gayle Tolley On Sept. 20, Thelma Blake was honored at a birthday party held at her home. Most of the gifts she received were for her cedar chest, which was a gift from her parents. The afternoon was spent playing games, talking, and enjoying refreshments. re-freshments. RaNae and Shirleen Myers and Thelma Blake played soda jerks, serving root beer floats and cake to the following girls: Gayle Tolley, Sandra Johnson, Mary Jane McCulley, Arlene Gale, Sally Killam, Jo Ann Bishop, Dorothy Dor-othy Vestal, Jo Ann Jones, Dawna Galloway, Penny Banks, Claudette Myers and Dorothy Blake.
