A marriage of interest to the community of Minersville was that of Patsy Wood, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wood of Minersville, to LaMar Hollings-heed, Hollings-heed, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ar-shel Ar-shel Hollingshead of Beaver. r Mr. Hollingshead is a grandson grand-son of Mr. and Mrs. Andy Hol-I'ngshcad Hol-I'ngshcad of this community. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Holyoak and Mrs. Atkin of Beaver were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kent Carter, one day this week. Mrs. Thurman Eyre has been bedfast several days with a back injury. Mr. and Mrs. Truman Bradfield, Brad-field, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Eyre and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gillins Gil-lins spent several days at Provo on business last week. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Rollins were hosts to Mr. and Mrs Shirley Baker and three children chil-dren from Provo, who motored down to bring Mrs. Ruth Twit-chell Twit-chell of North Creek, who had been visiting up north for the past month. While here Mr. Baker enjoyed a fishing trip with Mr. Rollins and sons in the South Fork of North Creek. A birthday party in honor of Newell Carter was enjoyed at the mine location of Mr. and Mrs. Mac McKenzie near Cherry Cher-ry Creek. Those enjoying a lovely steak dinner, besides the hosts and guest of honor, were Mrs. Newell Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Daisel Davis, and Mr. and Mrs. Marcine Davis. Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Dotson held an outing "up the river," inviting their crowd to a lovely outdoor lunch on Monday evening. eve-ning. Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Baker and Mr. and Mrs. Jess Edwards of Manderfield visited at the home of Mr and Mrs. Doyle Rollins Saturday. Mrs. Mabel Gentry spent Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Gillins Jr. She accompanied Mrs. Thora Beeson, a teacher for the coming year, who was in town to contact her students. |
