Show NEWS OF THE MILFORD FIRST LDS WARD By MRS. J. D. JOHNSTON Once again the little folks of the Junior Sunday School entertained en-tertained their parents. This time, on Aug. 20, the girls of tiie two classes had such a nice program for their mothers, with the assistance of the latter. Mrs. Lov eland was in charge of the program, Mrs. Irene Griffiths conducted the music, and Mrs. Edna Nichols played the piano. The program included: Song. "My Mother"; prayer, Kathleen Loveland; song, "While I Drink the Water Clear"; Sacrament gem, LaRae Gillins. Ms. Naomi Hughes gave a lovely talk on the Life of Christ followed by a poem by Cherry-Nichols Cherry-Nichols and a song by Kathy Watkins, and a song by Mickey Ferguson. Singing, "Jesus Once Was a Little Child." The lessons were given by Mrs. Killam, Mrs. Terry, Mrs. Gillins and Mrs. Hardy, after which all sang "Dear Savior May I Grow," and Janice Terry dismissed with prayer. The mothers present were Mrs. Nichols, Mrs. Grififths, Mrs. Loveland, Mrs. Gillins, Mrs. Thorell, Mrs. Killam, Mrs. McCulley, Mrs. Hughes, Mrs. Watkins, Mrs. Hardy, Mrs. Ferguson, Fer-guson, Mrs. Terry and Mrs Aagard. There were 27 children chil-dren in attendance. Our Sunday night meeting was most enjoyable and was a fine example of what fam;ly cooperation1 co-operation1 is able to accomplish for their own good and the good of others. After the opening exercises Elder Parley Fisher spoke and announced the following fol-lowing program: Story, Mrs. Beth Fisher; quartet, quar-tet, Vance Fisher, Luella, Richard Rich-ard and Dorothy, "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine"; Timmy gave a poem and Elder Ira M. n"-Vipr apoke on the Sanctity of the Home and Stability of the tiome, followed by a reading by daughter Terry. |
