Show COUNTY AGENT MARKET GOOD FOR UTAH LIVESTOCK "Utah livestock will find a ready market this fall, at a good price," predicts Morris H. Taylor, specialist, Utah State Agricultural College Extension Service. More cattle and pigs will be marketed than a year ago, but fewer lambs and sheep. Prospects for feed supplies suggest that feeders should be able to make profitable weight gains. "Although producers have a strong market, there is still much room for increased efficiency effi-ciency in marketing," Prof. Taylor advises. Unless cattle and lambs are sold for full market mar-ket value,, they have not been marketed' efficiently. Utah producers have numerous numer-ous market outlets. Many of the old channels of trade need to be scrutinized carefully! Perhaps Per-haps some alternative market will return more money than the customary outlet. Competition is still the all-important all-important element if one is to obtain full market value for livestock. Producers should solicit so-licit bids and go to the strongest market. |
