Mr. and Mrs. Percy Beeson and Mrs. Sade Patterson of Beaver were visitors at the home of Mr. aind Mrs .Heber Gillins Jr. on Sunday. Mrs. Delmar Gray returned home Sunday from Pioche, Nev., where she spent a few days visiting her parents and family. Mr. Bob Goodwin, Dianne and Robert visited in Minersville Miners-ville SunJay. Mrs. Goodwin, was unable to come, as she was playing a violin solo at a funeral. Mrs. Yvonne Cprbridge was in Milford Tuesday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Edwards are in Salt Lake on business. Miss Helen Davis spent the latter part of last week in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Blayne Miller of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Martin, and Mrs. Raymond Hutchings of Beaver visited last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Marshall and family. Mr. and Mrs. Miller were en route to Salt Lake after vacationing vaca-tioning in California. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Davis have returned to their home in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Holmes were visitors in Minersville Sunday. For the past year and a half they have made their home in Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Guymon of Cedar City visited Sunday at the home of Mrs. Guymon's "canasta." Prizes were won by Ernest Myers and Rachel Stewart. Stew-art. A delicious plate lunch and birthday cake were served to Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Myers, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Myers, Mr. and Mrs. Oswald Myers, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Stewart, Mrs. Ethel Myers, mother of Vendon, and her sons Eugene and Orin, and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Waters. Mrs. Rachel Stewart, Mrs. Sarah Myers and Mrs. Lorraine Myers spent Tuesday in Cedar City on business. ! Mrs. Elinor Marshall, Mrs. Gertrude Marshall and Mrs. Shirley Carter were also in Cedar City last week. A "pot luck" farewell party honoring Mr. and Mrs. Dick Davis before their departure for their new home was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Davis. Many friends were in j attendance. 1 Mrs. Lola Banks is in Salt J Lake on business. ! Mrs. LaVon Griffiths and daughter, and Mrs. Royal Wood and children, spent a day last week in Beaver visiting their parents. Mr. Truman Bradfield spent Wednesday at Beaver attending v a Beaver County Board of Edu-cation Edu-cation meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Banks, Mrs. Madge Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Delong of Panguitch enjoyed en-joyed a trip to the Manti Temple Tem-ple on Tuesday. Mr. George LeFevre, father of Mrs. Banks and Mrs. Carter, accompanied the party ay far as Richfield, where he visited with another daughter, Mrs. George Young, the former Winnie LeFevre. Mrs. LaRee Jones and son Paul of Oregon are here visiting visit-ing her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andy Bonn. Miss Connie Jane Gillins of North Creek is spending a week with her grandmother, Mrs. Alba Gillins. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kelsey, a girl. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Pearson, a girl. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Mathews,, Math-ews,, a 7 lb 5 oz boy. The Pearsons have two other children, Roldo and Scott. This is the first child for the Mathews, Math-ews, and the fourth for the Kel-seys. Kel-seys. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Carter of Beaver are the proud parents of a son, who arrived at the Iron County hospital Wednesday evening, eve-ning, weighing 8V lbs. The new arrival has an older brother, broth-er, Melvin, to welcome him home. Mr. and Mrs. Ricnard Schwob and daughter Kristine, of Salt Lake, are here visiting Mrs. Schwob's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Robinson. Mr. Howard Pryor made a trip to Junction last week. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Carter have a new pick-up truck. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Banks returned re-turned Tuesday from the St. George Temple, where they spent a week. They reported the trip was an enjoyable one. Mr. and Mrs. Mack Outzen of Tooele and Mrs. Nona Larsen of Salt Lake City visited last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Marshall, parents of Mrs. Larsen and Mrs. Outzen. Mr. Fred Myers celebrated his fifth birthday Thursday. He invited the entire kindergarten class, of which he is a member. mem-ber. Many little friends were present and he received many nice gifts. Miss Anne Williams, daughter daugh-ter of Mrs. Margaret Williams, also celebrated her birthday on Thursday. Ann is now seven years old. Friends at Anne's party included Darrell Roberts, LaNee Dalton, Joan Dotson, Caroline Marshall, Joan and Jean Eyre, Penla Patterson, Jimmy Evans, Mitchell Myers, Richard Davis, Linda Williams, Leah Ruth and Billy Dalton, Scott Pearson and Heber Davis. . ' Refreshments were Dixie cups of ice cream, birthday cake and Candy. Anne received' many nice gifts. The P.-T. A. held a business meeting Wednesday evening in the schoolhouse. Mr. Sherman Carter, principal of the school, and Mrs. Loretta Myers, president presi-dent of the group, were in charge. The program consisted of two numbers by singing groups, composed of Mrs. Reva Al-brecht, Al-brecht, Mrs. Ileen Gray, Mrs. Shirley Hollingshead, Mrs. Emily Em-ily Gillins, Mrs. Elinor Marshall, Mar-shall, Mrs. Reva Williams, Mrs. Yvonne Murdock and Mrs. Eloise Murdock, who sang "Indian "In-dian Dawn" and "My Hero," ' accompanied by Mrs. Phyllis 1 Truman.
