Show I Mrs. C. E. Leech, was home for I the holidays, leaving last Fri-l Fri-l day with Bruce Glenn for Fort Monmouth ,N. J. Both boys are serving in the U S Air Force. From Loveland, Colo., are Mr. and Mrs. George Shaffer, who plan to make their home in Milford. At present they are stopping with Mrs. Shaffer's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Jefferson. I Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Morris left early Wednesday morning for Los Angeles, where Mr. Morris will be employed. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Gillins and daughter Jeanette, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Gillins and son Dale attended a farewell party at Minersville for Harrell Gillins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jule Gillins, Gil-lins, which was held in the new L D S Chapel Tuesday evening. Harrell leaves this week to prepare pre-pare for an L D S mission Stopping in Milford before going to Mayfield were Mr and Mrs. Thorpe Waddingham and son Brent. They visited at the Roy Young home here, and in Mayfield spent the Christmas holidays with Mrs. Wadding-ham's Wadding-ham's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Michaelsen. Aftor the holidays hol-idays the Waddinghams left for Washington, D. C, where Thorpe will attend a law school. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Baker and family of Cedar City were in Milford last Saturday visiting Lee's parents, Mr. and Mrs William Baker. Mr. and Mrs. William Morris returned Thursday from their holiday vacation, spent with their children in California. ; Mr. and Mrs. O. C. Koch were dinner guests at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, daugh-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cook of South Milford, New Year's Day. Howard is recovering 'gradually after spending two weeks in bed from pulling the muscles in his right leg, and is now able to be around on crutches. IJoy Rogers of Payson, school chum of Kenneth Weston,; attended at-tended the funeral services for Mr. Weston last Thursday. Other out-of-town people attending at-tending the services were Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Duncan of Mead-low, Mead-low, parents of Mrs. Weston, and a brother, Gale Duncan of Cedar City, Mr. William Weston, Wes-ton, and Mr. and Mrs. William Stott of Meadow. Hollis' sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Briggs of Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Goodwin spent their New Years in Las Vegas. Bob and Leah Holmes of Cedar City were in Milford with Leah's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith, over the holidays. holi-days. 'The couple returned to Cedar City the middle of last week. Mr. and Mrs. George Jefferson Jeffer-son were house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gray in Salt Lake over the holidays. Hazel Hillman and Alice Wynaught were in Las Vegas over the New Year holidays. Toni Uffens and two sons, David and Ronnie, were in Salt Lake two days last week, visiting visit-ing Mrs. Uffens' folks. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Cline are in Los Angeles 'this week, visiting visit-ing Mr. Cline's mother. They also will celebrate their 15th wedding anniversary. ' Mr. and Mrs. David Erickson had as their .house guests during dur-ing the holidays Mrs. Erickson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Sharp. I Jack and Joy Kjrk left for Salt Lake City Tuesday, where Jack will continue his studies at the University of Utah. Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Osborn spent Christmas in Las Vegas with their daughter, Mrs. Aileen Conger, and Douglas and Col-' Col-' en Farnow and son. Over New Years the Howard Lund family visited relatives in Salt Lake City. Lillian Anderson and two sons, Harlan and Dean, were in Cedar City during the holidays. Dean returned to Logan Tuesday, Tues-day, to continue his studies at the U S A C. I Donna and Alden Hardy and children, of Magna, were here to spend New Years with Donna's Don-na's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Les-ter Williams. Jeanette Williams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Williams, Wil-liams, was released from the M.lford Hospital in time to spend Christmas at home. She was confined to the hospital for treatment, of an infected cut on her head, which she suffered suf-fered in an accident at the high school. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stone-hocker Stone-hocker enjoyed a trip to Los Angeles and San Francisco during dur-ing the Christmas holidays, also celebrating their wedding anniversary an-niversary on the trip. They called on Mrs. Stoenhocker's sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wolf, at San Jose. They returned to Milford Tuesday. Louella Fisher leaves Monday for Salt Lake, where she will undergo a major operation. A sleighing party was en-j joyed by Mr. and Mrs. Jirri Brannon, Mr. and Mrs. Vance Fisher, Mr. and -Mrs. Zeke Hickman, Wednesday night. After sleighing until a late huor the group enjoyed chili at the Brannon home . Mr .and Mrs. Sam Hickman and son Billie of Beaver were New Year guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kimball Coon. Newcomers to Milford are Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Mates. Mrs. Mates is the former Hilda Thompson, daughter of Mrs. Josephine Thompson. Douglas Pitchforth, who is in the Army Air Force, attending attend-ing school at Wichita Falls, Texas, arrived home Dec. 22nd to spend the Christmas holidays holi-days with his parents.
