Show Mr. and Mrs. Sam Fillmore, formerly of Richfield, are now living in Milford. Mr. Fillmore Fill-more is a carpenter. Three new homes are under construction in the west part of town, for the families of Earl Beard, Ben Cooper and Gale Banks. Kesler and Davis are the contractors. Guy Whittaker of Circleville has purchased the Howard Gos-pill Gos-pill home and farm in South Milford. The Whittakers will move to their new home in March. Joining friends from Payson, Melvin Hartligson and Jessie Myers, in Salt Lake Saturday were Mr. and Mrs. George Spainhower, who flew to the Capital City. While there the four attended the Salt Lake vs. Payson football game in the Ute Stadium. Mr. and Mrs. -Andrew Williams Wil-liams and small son Donald, of Pocatello, Idaho, visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Williams, and friends, over the Armistice Day holidays. They left for their home on Sunday. I Larry Sullivan was a business busi-ness visitor in town a few days this week. i "Vic" Carlson was in town the early part of the week, shaking hands with old friends and helping help-ing his mother get the home ready for winter. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Friesen and family of Fresno, Calif., spent the week-end visiting at the home of Mr.' and Mrs. C. C. Friesen. Mrs. Alma Sly returned Tuesday Tues-day from Provo, where she had accompanied her parents, Mr and Mrs. Melvin Edwards, and aunt, Mrs. Jasper Puffer of Beaver, to attend the testimonial farewell Of Lynn Pendleton, cousin and nephew, who leaves for the Holland mission Sunday, Nov. 20th. Pfc Wayne. Lyman, who en- " listed in the Army Air Forces in September, was home on end-of-training furlough last week. He left Friday for Wichita Falls, Texas, after spending six days at home. Wayne, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne R. Lyman, will complete his high school studies while serving in the Air Force. Melpha Lyman, AT&T em- , ploye at their Salt Lake City office, was in Milford last week ' visiting her parents, Mr. and I Mrs. Wayne R. Lyman, and her brother, Pfc Wayne Lyman. Nils Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nils Johnson, enlisted in the U S Navy, Nov. 1st. , Nils entered service at Cedar City, and was sworn in at Fort Douglas. Doug-las. He will take his "boot" training at the San Diego Naval i Training Center, and after 12 weeks of preliminary training will be assigned to sea duty. i Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Dean attended at-tended a conference of the J. R. Watkins Company in Salt Lake, Nov. 11th. They returned by way of Sanpete, visiting with relatives there. Chief Aviation Machinists Mate Kosmicki, Navy Recruiter at the Cedar City office, was in Milford Wednesday. Leaving to make their home at Mt. Shasta, Calif., are Mr. and Mrs. Lee Murphy and two sons. Mr. Murphy has been employed at the U S Weather Bureau station here. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wright moved the Murphy's furniture fur-niture to the California city last Saturday, returning to Milford on Tuesday. Ray Mills and small daughter Melody ,of Lynndyl, spent Thursday in Milford. Little Melody stayed with her grandparents,' grand-parents,' Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Osborn. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Fisher of Meadow are visiting at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, daugh-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Roberts. Rob-erts. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Smith of Beaver were visitors at the Jim Brannon home Tuesday. Mrs. Elma Voorhees of Salt Lake called at the home of her sister, Mrs. Jim Brannon, while in Milford attending the Lady Trainmen banquet last Monday evening. . Mr. and Mrs. Clauss Marshall were called to , Columbia, Mo. because of the death of Mrs. Marshall's brother, Mr. Glendon Halley. The couple and their two children were gone ten days. Word has been received from Mr. and Mrs. Carl P. Madsen of North Hollywood, Calif., that they had arrived safely at their home, and that they enjoyed their Milford visit very much. En route home irom a vacation trip to the northern part of the state, the Madsens stopped in Milford to visit their, brother- I in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. i F. L. Osborn. |
