Show MILFORD SCHOOL BAND PERFORMS IN UOFU STADIUM; WINS PRAISE By A Band Mother 1 The Milford High School Band had the pleasure of participating par-ticipating in the Band Festival at the University of Utah Stadium, Sta-dium, Oct. 15th, and seeing the Utah - Denver football game, which was very thrilling. Weather was perfect for juch an occasion, with 36 bands from three states. It was a beautiful sight to behold, to see all the different colors march onto the field under floodlights and play the national anthem en masse. The people of Milford Mil-ford can be proud of . our students stu-dents for the performance they gave. We found we had a number of boosters, for they received a big round of applause. ap-plause. We also received many comments on their behavior. The trip from start to finish was a success, and one the boys and girls will long remember. Mr. Gregory reports this to be the largest group of bands ever assembled on a gridiron. There were 2270 students in the mass formation. The officers of the Milford Band Mothers wish to thank the people who helped in any way to raise the money so our band could make this wonderful trip to Salt Lake. Much credit and praise is due our music director, Mr. Watkins, for his fine work for the betterment of the students stu-dents of Milford. Thejr can play equally as well as any other band that was there. Also do we thank Mr. Rex for his fine cooperation, and that parents par-ents who made the trip, Mrs. Garfield, Mrs. Cline, Mrs. Tom-sik, Tom-sik, Mrs. Anderson, Mrs. Hollis and Mr. Vestal, and the bus drivers, Mr. Stott and Mr. Tom-sik. |
