Show ALL STARS DROP L D S ELDERS FROM FIRST PLACE With a barrage of 16 hits which they turned into 16 runs, the All-Stars ganged up on Davis and the other L D S Elders last week to knock them off their tie-for-first perch, after the Elders had moved into joint occupancy of the top spot when they handed the White Market boys their first defeat. This leaves the White Market in uncontested un-contested first place at the close of the first half of play, however, how-ever, they have a postponed game to play with the Texans, but don't anticipate much difficulty diffi-culty in setting them down. Barnes led the attack against the Elders with two hits in two official trips, and scored three runs. He was passed on four balls his other trip. Sheldon Albrecht also scored three tallies, tal-lies, an dhad two hits for three trips, and Zabriskie added three counters with two hits in three trips. For the Elders, Reed Gillins had the best day at the plate, when he touched Bingham for four hits in four trips, and tallied tal-lied three runs. This week the teams go into second-half play, with the Elders meeting the White Market at 6:30, and the All Stars and Texans Tex-ans tangling in the 8:30 nightcap The schedules: LADIES' LEAGUE -Wed., July T3 6:30 p. m.
