Show tioned the past week in Yellowstone Yellow-stone park. They found Wyo-' ming beautiful, with grass and grazing in abundance, but saw few herds of sheep and cattle. The park was "as beautiful as they had ever seen it, grand all the way through." Dr. Burgess reports a heavy tourist influx with little chance for accommodations accommo-dations if not reserved in advance. ad-vance. There was. snow in the parks and the roads, undergoing repairs, were rough. Dr. Burgess said fishing wasn't so good during dur-ing his stay, due to storms and high wind. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mc-Whorter Mc-Whorter and two daughters, Judy Ann and Sarah Jane, are I visiting at the home of Mrs. Mc- Whorter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Pool. Sherman Hickman and daughter, daugh-ter, Mary Sue, were here during the races. Mrs. Toni Uffens returned on Saturday from Salt Lake, with her son Ronald, who had been visiting his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Robertson. The J. J. Beitz family has moved from Caliente and are now making their home in Mil-ford. Mil-ford. Mr. Beitz is a Union Pacific Pa-cific employee. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Robb and family are now living in Para-gonah. Para-gonah. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Lund and family left Milford two weeks ago, to make their home in Salt Lake. Mrs. Hattie Goodwin of Beaver Beav-er is here for a short visit with her daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Hollis, and son, Clark Goodwin. Mr. and Mrs. Herman J. Uffens and two children, Ronald and David, left Wednesday for a vacation trip through California, Cali-fornia, the Northwestern States, Canada, and Yellowstone park. I Lost Black boxer pup, IV2 month old, last Monday night. Child's pet plear return to Charles Holm. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Munk of Salt Lake City, parents of Mr. S. K. Munk of Milford, will be making their home in Milford in the near future. Mr. Munk will engage in the jewelry and watch repair business here. Beck Geist, son of Mrs. Grace Geist, went to Centerfield, June 15th, to visit his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Beck. He will return to Milford sometime after celebrating h.is birthday, j July 5th. Dr. and Mrs. M. F. Burgess and small daughter Nancy vaca- A wonderful two-weeks trip was enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Merryweather. through Oregon, Ore-gon, Washington, San Francisco and Vallejo, Calif. After returning, re-turning, Mr. Merryweather left for Provo, where he' is now employed, em-ployed, and Mrs. Merryweather left for Helper to return her children, who had stayed with their 'grandparents while the Merry weathers were away. Charles Frederick, 10-year-old son of E. L. Frederick of Santa Monica, Calif., is visiting at the Owen Stoker home. Alan Appleton is in Los Angeles An-geles with his father, Joe Apple-ton. Apple-ton. He will return to Milford I in a few weeks. I I ; I Bob Kesler is up from Cali-' fornia visiting with his uncles and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Smithson and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smithson. Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Connell will enjoy a month's vacation in Bremerton, Wash., in a newly-purchased newly-purchased home. When Mr. Connell retires from the rail- road they intend to make their home there. Mrs. Carroll Johnson and baby have been in Salt Lake this week. It was nice seeing Mrs. Mildred Mil-dred Eldredge again. She was down from Salt Lake for the race meet. E route to Oregon, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ahworth and two daughters, Jackie and Karen, stopped to visit with friends in Beaver County. While in Milford Mil-ford they visited Dr. and Mrs. Lloyd Kohler . Barbara Jones has returned from here vacation in Los Angeles An-geles and Santa Monica, Calif. Betty Sue LeBaron is here from Salt Lake visiting her girl friend, Madelyn Kohler. Hazel Hillman and Louella Fisher are in Salt Lake for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Walt Griffiths and son, and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Wal-lace Fotheringham and son, all of Compton, Calif., are vacationing vaca-tioning in Mlford, guests of Mr, and Mrs. Ted Wellington. The Ben Cooper family of Cedar City are vacationing in the Northwestern States and Canada for two weeks. Mrs. Abe Boyle and daughter Patsy, of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. T. W. Gunn were visitors at the James' Lang home this week. Mr. Wallace Lang of Phoenix, Ariz., is spending the week with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Lang, and his father, Ross Lang. Returning from their vacation are Mr. and Mrs. Steve Inman; who have enjoyed two weeks in Southern California, Mr. and Mrs. Robert g. Col-born Col-born were called to Hawthorne, Calif., by the illness of Mrs. Col-born's Col-born's father. Their daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Bingham, and two children, Jay and Marion, returned re-turned to Milford with the couple. Mrs. Colborn and Mrs. Bingham and children are now in Salt Lake and will return to. Milford this week-end. From San Jose, Calif., are Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Wolf and two children. They are house guests of the Earl Stonehockers, and Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Shingle-ton. Shingle-ton. Mrs. Wolf is the former Beth Coleman. Attending a meeting of Utah and Idaho B of R T and Auxiliaries, Auxil-iaries, in Ogden last week, were Mrs. Eva Stonehocker, Mrs. Helen Leech and Mrs. Lillian Mellor. Last week Lois Mecham, a former resident of Milford now living in Cedar City, was the house guest of Mr. .and Mrs. G. W. Eyre, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stonehocker. A three-day camping trip was enjoyed by Monte Ashworth. |
