Show ,NEWS NOTES FROM BLACK ROCK By MRS. WALTER JAMES February 7th, and snow has been falling very fast for several hours, which was preceded by a strong wind causing high drifts to form. If the owners of sheep and cattle had allowed their hopes to soar a bit, this last ' storm and wind will indeed be cause for shattered hopes and perhaps added effort to get feed to the starving animals. Mrs. B. L. Maddox has gone to her home in Macon, Georgia, to visit with her mother. Obed Nelson of Mr. Pleasant has been at the Black Rock Ranch for the past several days, waiting for the arrival of a car of hay. Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Adair left by train for Salt Lake to attend the funeral of Mrs. Adair's brother, broth-er, "June" Smith. Continued use of a snowplow at Bloom has been necessary to keep the track cleared for the operation of trains. |
