Show BASKETBALL TROPHY TO BE PRESENTED TO TIGERS AT FRIDAY ASSEMBLY The Milford High Tigers will be presented with the "Victory Cup Perpetual Trophy" at the special Lincoln Day assembly in the High School auditorium Friday Fri-day afternoon. S. A. Williams, substituting for Mr. James B. Fernley, donor, will make the presentation. The trophy vas offered the winner of the Milford-Lincoln High basketball game at the game played here December 3rd by Mr. Fernley, who attended the Milford schools and graduated gradu-ated from Lincoln High. It will be placed in the Tiger trophy case until the next contest be- tween the two schools, when it again will be placed "on the block." Rules governing competition compe-tition for the -trophy are printed on the back page of th.s issue of The News. Mr. Fernley was born in Milford, Mil-ford, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam E. Fernley. He attended the Milford schools until 1929, when he moved to Nevada. He was graduated from Lincoln High in 1934. Recently Mr. Fernley moved to Las Vegas where he now resides re-sides with his wife, the former Eva Miller of Pioche, and their three children. He is a conductor conduct-or on the U P, running from Las Vegas to Milford. |
