Show MILFORD LIONS TO ENTERTAIN LADIES The Milford Lions, their ladies, and Ladies of the Lady Lions and their husbands, will meet for a social evening at the I O O F Hall, Thursday, November 18. The regular Lions entertainment ommittee will be in charge of he affair. Considerable discussion of the Lions Club proposed youth program pro-gram occupied the major part of the evening when the Lions met at the Catholic church last Thursday. Thurs-day. Chairman Horton's report that only 13 of the 33 members of the Lions club had answered the written request for support of the program, and that only 47 answers had been received from the residents of the city. Under the program as set up by the Lions committee, the Milford Mil-ford Lions Club would sponsor a year round, all-inclusive recreation recrea-tion program for the youth of the city. Efforts would be made to coordinate existing facilities, and add to them rather than duplicate dup-licate present programs. It was explained that the Lions hope to work Vith all church organizations, the Boy Scouts, school faculty, P.-T. A., and the city council. Chairman Horton urged all citizens to answer the questionnaires question-naires mailed recently, and express ex-press their opinion on the matter. |
