Show FREE MOVIES TO BE SHOWN HERE BY PID A free movie show, one and a half hours of excellent entertainment, entertain-ment, will be presented at the High School Auditorium next Tuesday evening, under joint Lions Club-Chamber of Commerce Com-merce sponsorship. The Department Depart-ment of Publicity will show the films. I Tilled "The Crimson Cliffs," I the picture will show scores of beautiful scenes in the state. It I is the first step in a continuing Know Your Utah program sponsored spon-sored by the PID, and is designed de-signed to acquaint Utahns with the benefits and accompanying responsibilities i n v o 1 ved in building a highly profitable tourist tour-ist trade for the state. "Few people realize how vast and widespread are the benefits of tourist travel thruout the United States," said Mr. William C. Winder, speaking for the Department De-partment of Publicity. "It is the largest single source of cash income in the country today." Mr. Winder pointed out that no city or section of Utah receives re-ceives an equitable share of this profitable business, and said the Know Your Utah campaign of the P I D is designed to assist the cities in securing their just share of these tourist dollars. HOSPITAL NOTES Born to Mr. and Mrs. James Hurst of Salt Lake, April 20th, a boy, weighing 7 lbs., 10 oz. Mr. David Hardy spent two days in the local hospital. Mr Joe Rickerson is confined to the Milford Hospital. i Mrs. Lottie Gray of Minersville Miners-ville is receiving medical treatment treat-ment in the local hospital. Mr. Howard Lund spent several sev-eral days in the hospital, receiving receiv-ing medical treatment. Mrs. Merrell Edwards was admitted to the hospital last Sunday. I |
