Show MAMMOTH ICE REVUE SLATED FOR CENTENNIAL With the gala opening of the Utah Centennial Exposition in Salt Lake City on June 2, "Holiday "Holi-day on Ice." one of America's major ice extravaganzas, will head the long list of events in the Fair Grounds Coliseum from June 2 thru June 15, nightly at 8:30 p. m., with matinees scheduled sched-uled for each Saturday and Sunday Sun-day at 2:30. Special ice freezing equipment and miles of pipe will be imported import-ed to make the world's largest portable rink, 125 ft. by 65 ft. It is said that the cost of making this ice alone will be over $5000. Holiday on Ice boasts a cast of 110 international stars and many skating champions who will perform per-form in 27 thrilling diversified acts and seven production numbers. num-bers. Perhaps the most lavish scene is "Holiday in Hong Kong" a pantimimic love story of a Happy Prince and a Temple dancer, dan-cer, climaxed with most of the cast appearing on the ice in multi-colored beautiful Chinese costumes which change color under a concentrated "black lighting" effect. |
