Show MRS. HILLMAN ENTERTAINS Last Thursday evening Mrs. Hazel Hillman had as her guests Mrs. Merle Carlson, Mrs. Vivian Muncey, Mrs. Loretta Cline, Mrs. Kate McDonald, Mrs. Ruth Evans, Mrs. Jeanette Kohlcr and Mrs. Ruby Vogt. Bridge was played, with Mrs. Hillman winning high prize, Mrs. Evans, second high, and Mrs. Cline. third. A luncheon was served by the gracious hostess. Mrs. Rhoda Ramsey of Bakers-field, Bakers-field, Calif., attended the funeral of her uncle, George Davis, in Min- ersville and visited at the Martin Sherwood home for two weeks. Mr. Sherwood returned to the California Cali-fornia city with Mrs. Ramsey. Mrs. Ireta Albrccht left early in the week for Casa Grande, Ariz., to greet her new granddaughter, born to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fotheringham Fother-ingham on January 9. Mr. D. R. Pierce, county school superintendent, paid The News office of-fice a visit on Monday morning. The new superintendent was in the western end of the county on school business. |
