Two of the actors set out to work their way back to New York. They were lucky enough to get a passage on a barge, and when passing through a lock they overheard over-heard this conversation: "What you got on board, Jim? "Load of fertilizer and a couple of actors, Bert." The two actors looked at eacn other in silence, then sighed deep- "Cyril," said one, "shall we never nev-er top the bill?" |
