Show Mapietcn News Mrs. Blake Everett Mr. and Mrs. Verl Jensen visited in Couer d' alene, Idaho, over the Easter vacation with their daughter and husband, Dick and Sharon Booth and their family. The Booths have a baby boy born March 11. They have four other sons. Mr .and Mrs. Bill Wiscombe spent a day recently with his parents, Mr and Mrs. Joe Wiscombe. Wis-combe. They are living in Holiday Holi-day and Bill is employed as a teacher in the Granite. School District. Virginia Hall and Evelyn Allan Al-lan are recuperating at their homes. They each had surgery last week at the Utah Valley Hospital. Mrs. Zora Hales and Jeffery Rowberry accompanied Blaine Hales to Berkeley, California, Cal-ifornia, this week. Mr .Hales has been living in Utah for several sev-eral weeks, and is employed as head of the Federal Land Bank in Provo. He will move his family to Mapleton this week. Mr .and Mrs. Gary Rasmus-sen Rasmus-sen ' (Vickie Hooper) are 'enjoying 'en-joying sun-shiny weather in Fort Hood. Mrs. Lenore Bills arrived home last week after vacationing vacation-ing in Puerto Rico with her brother Welburn Johnson. She left Salt Lake airport Feb. 28, and arrived in Puerto Rico in twelve hours including a two hour stop over in New York. Mr. Johnson is employed by Standard Oil Co. He took his sister sight-seeing through the pineappple, banana and coconut fields. He lives in the city of Old San Juan which was discovered dis-covered by Columbus in 1493, and has many places of historical histor-ical interest. They also enjoyed the beautiful beaches of the island is-land many times. Mrs. Bills left Puerto Rico March 24 and flew to Nassau, New York, where she spent Easter with some friends. The following Monday, she went to New York City, where she had a tour of the Lincoln Center. She talked to Marilyn Whiting and Trora Allan, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Whiting who reside in New York. Mrs. Allan drove her to the airport, and they had a very nice visit with each other. Mrs. Allan is a kintergarden teacher in New York. Her husband is Don Allan Al-lan formerly of Springville. |
