They also had a visit during the afternoon after-noon from some former Maple-ton Maple-ton residents, Mr. and Mrs. Af-ton Af-ton Madsen and their three married daughters. The Mad-sens Mad-sens live in Salt Lake. school in Samoa. He sent the message by short wave radio, and it was passed on to Mr. Fullmer by telephone. Richard has been in Samoa since last summer and reports that he loves his job there very much. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Holda-way Holda-way have been enjoying a visit this week from their daughter, Carol, and from Mrs. Holda-way's Holda-way's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hogan of Denver, Colorado. Carol has been living with her grandparents and working in Denver. Floyd Allen and son, Jerry, visited with his brother, Boyd Allen and family over the weekend. Sunday evening, Boyd Allen and daughters, Kathy and Angela, attended a surprise sur-prise birthday party for Mrs. Nellie Bunce of Springville, their grandmother. Also attending at-tending the party were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bunce and family of Springville. Mr .and Mrs. Juan Whiting went to Salt Lake Sunday to visit wth Mrs. Whitings brother, bro-ther, Anthony Snow, who came from Shreveport, Louisianna to attend General Conference. Mr. Snow is president of the Shreveport Stake. He drove to Salt Lake with three bishops from that stake. Brent Woffinden, grandson of Mr .and Mrs. Willis Harmer won some outstanding awards through his FFA and 4-H work. He won the Foundation Award of $200 through his FFA and a $300 Standard Oil Scholarship for his outstanding outstand-ing 4-H record. His projects over the eight years of 4-H work have included: swine, sheep, crops, tractor, gardening garden-ing and leadership. He is the son of Bernice and Ennis Woffinden of Benjamin, Utah.
