Show City clean-up by trucks now completed City clean-up and pick-up of trash and debris on the streets was finished Saturday, April 25, after some six weeks of cleaning and hauling, said Superintendent Su-perintendent Carl Curtis. From now on citizens must haul their own debris (not garbage) gar-bage) to the trash pile or make arrangements to have a city truck do it, for which there is a charge for the truck and time involved. Due to the late spring and the extended time of the cleanup, clean-up, the city is behind repairing repair-ing the streets and other maintenance main-tenance work, he noted. Supt. Curtis commended the citizens for the fine manner in which they cleaned their property ard urged continuation, continua-tion, but, he said, curing the remainder of the year, the property owner must dispose of the trash and not place it in front of his property. |
