This is a competition between classes, where each grade has a decorated tree, and lst,2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded. To start with, Parowan is having it's first annual "Winter Carnival" Carni-val" sponsored by Parowan's Paro-wan's Chamber of Com-..merce Com-..merce . and assisted by the high school. Starting off the carnival on the 18th, there will be an adult dance in the Parowan Paro-wan High Gyro, going from 8 until 10 p.m. Old time music will be furnished by the Paragonah Orchestra and there will be refreshments served.Also on Friday,there will be a contemporary dance it will be at the P.H.S. Gym from 10:30 p.m. and going until one. Once again there will be refreshments. Starting at 10;30 a.m. on Saturday, there will be snowmobile snow-mobile drags 15 miles up Parowan Canyon. Tech and registration is from 9-10 that morning, featuring class A, B, and C, modified and a Ladles Powder Puff. Then at 3:00 that afternoon, after-noon, there will be children's child-ren's movies in the P.H.S. Auditorium. Santa Claus will come and bring goodies for all. Then there will be a Gala Festival beginning at 3 p.m. in the Parowan High Student Commons. Highlights High-lights of the festival will be home-made foods, gifts, contemporary arts, custom crafts, concessions, gift wrapping, an exhibition of enchanted holiday trees,and yuletide musicians.
