Show Metcalf -Campbell Mortuary. Mort-uary. LEON A JONES STONES Leona Jones Stones, 85, died Nov. 23, 1981, in Parowan. Par-owan. She was born Sept. 25, 1896 in Parogonah to Thomas William andMargaret Elizabeth Eliza-beth Prothero Jones. She married Daniel Amasa Stones June 2, 1920 in the St. George Temple. He died Dec. 26, 1974. Leona was a graduate of the Branch Normal School in Cedar City, and taught in Paragonah. She was an active member of the LDS Church, and served in many positions. She was postmistress in Paragonah for 26 years and was active in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She was a devoted motherland-mother motherland-mother and homemaker. Survivors include one daughter and three sons; Mrs. Carlyle (Kathleen) Mtichell, Daniel Mario both of Cedar City; Thomas Milo Ogden andJamesAlan,Paro-wan; andJamesAlan,Paro-wan; 17 grandchildren, 24 great -grandchildren. Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. DAVID CLIFTON REESE David Clifton Reese, 76, died Sunday, November 29, at his home in Milford of natural causes. He was born September 13, 1905 in Greenville, Green-ville, Utah, the sixth child of John and Mary Ann Morgan Mor-gan Reese. He married Lucy griffiths, June 14, 1928 in Parowan, Utah. The marriage mar-riage was solemnized in the St. George Temple in 1963. Mr. Reese was an active member of the LDS Church, and an avid sports fan. He was an engineer for theUnion Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1970. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Locomo-tive Engineers. Survivors are his wife of Milford, three sons, Cliff and Larry of Cedar City, Bill of Granger, two daughters, daugh-ters, Mr. John (Norma) O'Bosky of Libby,Montana and Mrs. Sheldon (Mary) Albrecht of Milford. Seventeen Seven-teen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a brother, brot-her, John Marion Reese of Las Vegas. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 12:00 noon in the Milford LDS Church under the direction of |
