Show DICKENS PRESENTED IN ONE MAN SHOW AT SUSC The holiday season's infamous in-famous Mr. Scrooge, called "A squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, clutch-ing, covetous old sinner" by his maker Charles Dickens, will come to life December 14-15 at Southern Utah State College through the talents of Utah actor Michael Jesse Bennett. Bennett's one-man show "An- Evening With Charles Dickens" will include the timeless tale "A Christmas Carol" along with readings from "David Copperfield" and "Pickwick Papers." Like Dickens, who read his works in public for many years, Bennett works through readers' theater, giving his characters their own voice and personality. Drssed in a tuxedo--as was Dickens he uses Dicken's techniques to make the show more of a dramatic production produc-tion than a reading. Tickets are on sale for "An Evening with Charles Dickens" at the SUSC Box Office, 586-7876, from 1-5 p.m. weekdays. The special touring production is not included in-cluded in the price of season tickets, however, season ticket holders will receive $1 off the $4 regular admis-sin admis-sin price. |
