Show September 14, Lambert Dutson took wife Anne, out to dine at Louder's. Now wasn't that nice'; Austin &Arvilla Williams returned from their vacation but neither one will say too much about the fishing, but they did have a nice time anyway. Mollie & Wayne Gonder may be up the creek without a paddle, but not their trailer. They are up Snake Creek with the cattle. It is so cool and peaceful. Fred and the kids & I drove . to Donner Lake so Fred and our dear friends, Dean &Vee Cannon of Salt Lake, could go fishing on beautiful Lake Tahoe. Our friends have a big boat so the boys were invited to try their pull. Well, as the story went, they both got bites, but lost the fish. It was a thrill just to go and try. Got your dancing shoes polished? Or getting hungry? The reunion is still on for the 5th & 6th. The dance band is the good one from St. George. They have been here before, so we start at 9:00 o'clock. Now you all come. Becky Williams had her sister and her family here for three days. Makes a good trip from Vegas. Pat,Owen Gonder and kids all went to Ely on Friday so they could be at the fair for the judging of all their projects. Rae Anne. Gonder got three Reserve Champions. Champ-ions. Pat Gonder, Mollie Gonder & Becky Williams all received red's, blue's & white's for their efforts. F Gleen Dearden's steer went for a real good price and he also did good in the horse one. School opened here last Wednesday, and Eskdale opened Sunday. Kids, of course, said summer was too short. The new Teacher is Jackie Deyet, from the Delta Del-ta area. Her husband is working at the Welfare Farm here. We were at the Ely Lions annual breakfast Sunday, and spoke with Lee and zelma Dearden, and Bill and Edith Dearden from Salt: Lake. They will be here for the reunion, so come see them. The Border Inn has been sold and reconstruction is scheduled to begin soon. Bigger Big-ger they say, but better? I don't know. Denny's were super, they will have to try hard. Fred, the last of the great white hunters, now has 3 skunks, 2 gophers and one garden hose to his credit. What a shot! Remember getting a husband is like buying a used car. You don't see it like it is, but like it's going to be when you get it fixed up. |
