GIirioionGon inui'i'GG input vof W Icgiolaf ore There is quite a bit of speculation about what the results will be that will come about during the meeting of the 44th legislature which will begin in January 1981. Some of those who lobby in behalf of the larger organized organ-ized groups and organizations organi-zations are especially anxious. anx-ious. Some gave a lot of support to candidates who somehow came out on the losing end in the past elections. elec-tions. Where a decade ago one or two professional groups dominated in the state legislature, today it just isn't that way. The upcoming legislature will be quite similar to the last with more of a variety of occupations and professions represented by the different legislators. In the house of representatives represen-tatives over one third will beNEWLY elected. I feel it is good to have people from all walks of life in this kind of a body. We have it this time with a variety of jobs and professions among the m any others are retired citizens, citi-zens, a prison guard, a blacksmith and a secretary. I feel this is good, but it is driving some of the lobbyists lobby-ists wild. With the majority of Republicans Re-publicans in the legislature it should be safe to say that the more conservative view will prevail. Given enough time it will be a veto proof legislature if the voting vot-ing is done along party lines. Hopefully we would like to believe that all legislation passes on its own merits and not because of political party sponsorship.
