Mr. Evans was born in Minersville in 1904. Mrs. Evans was born in 1912. They were married December 26, 1929 in Beaver. On June 19, 1979 their marriage was sealed in the St. George Temple. They were blessed with nine children, one of whom is deceased: Clyde Evans, Henderson, Nevada; Wayne, Denver, Colorado; Merlene Lowell, Las Vegas; LaRee Morin, Las Vegas; Geneal Roberts, Beaver; Elaine Limb, Beaver; Lois Crystal, Anchorage, Alaska; Rama Strong, of St. George. During the earlier years of the marriage, Arshal worked at the Bristol Silver Mine; the Horn Silver, and several others in northern Utah, He worked. on the Union Pacific Railroad for 30 years and retired at the age of 65. Lela worked hard as a mother, raising her children, keeping her home and yards clean. She enjoyed cooking teaching her children how to work. They also raised a beautiful garden and canned the produce they raised. Arshal has always loved prospecting - and still enjoys They have enjoyed 50 years together, and with their eight living children and their families. The children request the pleasure of your, company at an Open House in honor of their 50th Wedding Anniversary Anni-versary on Saturday, December 29, 1979, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Minersville Cultural Hall.
