Show Oooucr third ujord 15 missionaries M. DALE SCHOFIELD The LDS Third Ward, of Beaver, is taking heed of President Kimball's urging to 'magnify your calling.' Third Ward leadership has always emphasized the missionary mis-sionary program and at the present time the Ward has fifteen missionaries in the field. Of special Interest is the fact that six of the fifteen are accounted for by just two families. Dr. E. Terry Henrie and his wife, Leola, have a daughter and two sons serving in the Church In this capacity. Cathline is in Australia, Michael is In Ohio and Gary is in Florida. Cathline will soon complete com-plete her mission and arrive in Salt Lake in January. Michael will be home sometime some-time in February. Mrs. Henrie reports that the entire family has started a countdown for a welcome home to Cathline and Michael. Mi-chael. Mr. Gareth Spencer and his wife, Donna, also have a daughter and two sons in the missionfleld. Anona is in the Mission Home in Provo and will soon be on her way to Uruguay. Lynn is now in New Zealand, and Owen is serving in the Oklahoma area. Any countdown in the Spencer family will have to wait a while. You may be sure that there will be more Henries and Spencers called to serve missions as each family in-clides in-clides five children at home. It's also of interest to note that both family heads are of- fleers in the Beaver Stake. Dr. Henrie was called as Stake President this past August. Prior to that he was Bishop of the Third Ward. Gareth Spencer has just been called as Stake Clerk. Prior to that he was Financial Clerk for the Third Ward. The message of the Gospel is being carried throughout many parts of our country and the world by members of these two families. |
